SVG Playing with J2ME but not playing in Browser

Hi,

I have a written a sample web page which has a svg element and uses the object tag. What is happening is that I am able to certain svg 1.1 tiny files but there are some svg 1.1 tiny files which do not play in browser but these files play in Firefox as well in an application using the J2ME api.

I am using Nokia 3500c. All the svg files are SVG Tiny 1.1

Can someone from Nokia guide as to how do I find whether the file complies with the Nokia specification ? Since the file plays in a J2ME app using JSR 226 I assume that the file is SVG 1.1 Tiny compliant

Hi,

As far as I know, S40 browser does not support SVG images. You still can try with embed tag instead of object tag.

What you are saying is not correct, I am able to play certain SVG files in browsers of Series 40 devices with the object tag.
