I believe the S60 Emulator doesn't support the mini-view feature?

hi, you have to alter the "Helper.SMALL_SCREEN_TRESHOLD"-Value in the Helper.js file to a value higher than your screen resolution (also here: http://library.forum.nokia.com/topic...634C9C27A.html)

But it does not really work. I can see the widget in homescreen-mode but not on the homescreen. I also testet it on an Nokia 5800 Xpress. Didn't work there as well.

Does anybody know how to setup the homescreen function properly?

Currently the firmware on the 5800 doesn't support the homescreen view ... that's why you won't be able to see the mini-widget view.

We are going to release a new SDK soon that will allow you to test homescreen widgets. meanwhile, you can study the homescreen widget documentation first and start working on the homescreen widget. You only need the new SDK to test the homescreen functionality. The other widgets functionalities (e.g. platform services, UI) can be tested using the current 5th edition SDK.

you can send me a note at ung-ping.tian@nokia.com if you want to be notified when the SDK is ready...

As the 5800 does not support homescreen widgets, will it ever support them?
