Precision about n96 fire key

Hi everyone,

I read a lot of interesting articles about the fire key on nokia n96 (and few other ones).
But I still have 2 questions:

1) a lot of people say to test directly the keycode and compare it to -5. But for my n96, fire key looks to be 0... So can I put 0 on my code or maybe that will create other problems for other devices.

2) At the buttom of the screen of a n96, you have often 3 choices. leftPad to activate the left one, rightPad for the right one, and the fire key for the middle one. So, is this a way to fix my problem, to display in the middle of the screen the ation I want to activate with the fire key?

Use Canvas.FIRE instead that will always work with all device.

Hi Nikosh,

I think if u are using 0 for fire in N96 that will work but not for all nokia mobile.
But by using FIRE instead that will always work with all device in Canvas.

Actually I did my program using Canvas.FIRE. But when I tried it on different phones, n96 (and 2 other ones so far), fire button does not work...

I did a simple code, I have a rectangle that I make move. It works for almost all devices, but almost... what can i do to make it work on n96...

it does not care about my Canvas.fire.....
