My partner and I decided to form a business partnership as we wanted to start developing softwares and publish it on Ovi Store. However, there's a slight problem ... we just got back from our Tax department over here in Malaysia, we're not allowed to open a file until a year later as it's a new company, hence there's no income to declare. Yeah, it sounds ridiculous. To cut the long story short, we don't have a Tax ID.

How do we go about registering as publishers for the store? We can provide Nokia with our business registration number, etc for validation purposes, would that count? Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

It would seem that even though the Vat Id is a requirement, there are some countries where the publisher does not have the information on this. I guess the best way would be to just put in any number. Just make sure that the other information that you supply is accurate.

That's right. Anyway, I wonder why Nokia only lets companies to publish to ovi, an individual person should be able to sell on ovi store too.
