    Hello friends,

I want to play video files through packets. it is not a simple rtsp streaming. i have serched in this forum and found this link bit related to my requirement

    http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...d.php?t=135121

I am giving you the following line mentioned by Sorcery-ltd

    Code:
If it's RTSP streamed data then you can use CVideoPlayerUtility::OpenUrlL() and it is easy. If it isn't then you have a lot of work to do.

Other people have been trying this recently so search this board. You would most likely need to get some support for this and use the DevVideo interface.
can anyone put some more light on topic DevVideo interface. how it is possible thrugh these apis.

Is there any equivalent api for video as there in audio CMdaAudioOutputStream by which we can stream video in packet.

    Thanks

As far as I know there is still very little public documentation on DevVideo. I beleive there is a working example of its use in the open source Helix DNA client for Symbian.

There might be some more documentation available in the coming months when SDN++ documentation goes public on the Symbian Foundation website. However, although the core API came from Symbian, the details needed for using specific codecs come from the device manufacturer, so your best course of action is probably a technical support request from Forum Nokia.
