    hi,
Reading the FAQ, you will notice that,EVENTUALLY, you will be able to publish on Ovi.

There seems to be a "queue" of individual developers "waiting".
Basically Ovi, is looking for large companies, high turnover established.

IMHO this will be more like end 2009, get you app ready, probably register and wait for email!. Meanwhile read the Questions others are asking.

Think of a company name, logo, etc

    Good Luck,
    Jim

If an individual develops a native S60 application, it still needs to be Express / Certified Signed. And to be able to sign you application using these signing options, you need a publisher ID. Publisher IDs are only sold to companies. So there is no way an individual can sell native S60 apps on Ovi Store. Am I right here? I hope not.

There are some individuals who have managed to get SIS files signed, such as theme-maker Babi (of babinokia.com) and Antony Pranata (who did the Screenshot app). I'm not 100% sure how they did it, but it does appear to be possible.

You can now freely sign your Symbian and Java apps https://www.developer.nokia.com/Dist..._signing.xhtml
(Yes, this an old thread but thought share the update on free signing)
