Problem deploying to emulator

Hi,

I have Aptana with the WRT Plug-in and the emulator that comes with the S60 Developer Tools. I wish to deploy my widget to the emulator, but the emulator runs only for a brief while and then closes.
How do I keep the emulator running?

what do you exactly mean that the emulator runs briefly and have you tested this with any other widget.

and it will be great if you provide some more information about your widget.

More information is always good for getting better answers, anyway, did you install Java runtime & Perl with the versions shown in teh SDK release notes ?

Basically you need to install both in order to get the emulator to work correctly.

I have Java runtime and Perl installed, and I'm running Windows Vista.

The problem persist no matter what widget I try to test, including the Widgets generated by Aptana Studio. Even when testing nothing and just trying to open the emulator.

When I start the emulator, it says "S60 Emulator loading, please wait", for a few seconds, and then the emulator just silently closes.

I have read a bit about the problem on random forums, seems to be a Vista bug. I few people post the same problem, but alas, no solutions.
