always asks permission to read or write from contacts

hi all

i m developing an application related to contacts...but everytime i access the contact list...it asks permission as in "ALLOW APPLICATION TO READ DATA IN CONTACTS THIS APPLICATION IS NOT FROM A TRUSTED SUPPLIER..."

AND WHEN I PREE YES THEN IT GETS GOING...
it is getting irritating as to write 500 contacts to my phone i have to press 500 times yes on the screen...

is there any way to programatically always allow the operation to continue and user should not be asked to grant their permission everytime???? or some way that the mobile device considers the application to be certified and allow it to use without permission??

The must change the security settings. You can probably select "ask once", and reduce from 500 times to one. To enable the "always allow" option, you will need to sign the application with a trusted certificate. What certificate the device will trust depends on the device. Main candidates are Thawte, Verisign and JavaVerified.

If you are talking about writing contacts using JSR 75 PIM API on Nokia S60 phones then even signing won't help because even if you set permissions ReadUserData and EditUserData to Always Allowed then also it will ask for user confirmation for each contact. This is a Known Issue in S60 phones.

to avoid such confirmation msgs u have to sign ur application. U can also set the permissions in app manager for ur application but there are only two options in s60 devices for reading and writing data ie.
1. not allowed
2. ask every time

yeah in sony u get the four options regarding that (k790i,k810i)
1. not allowed
2. ask every time
3. ask once
4. never ask

so for sony devices u have to sign ur application to avoid such confirmations.
