UNI-09 problem

Hi,

my application should start up on device boot, to do so the application must be installed in c:\sys\bin\ ... but UNI-09 requires that it must be possible to install the application on mass storage devices as well on memory cards.
There is the exception UNI-09.EX1 mentioned, but it is never said that it covers auto start up applications.
Besides this, in such cases one is required to provide a notification and prevent installation on inappropriate devices.
How does one detect which storage the user has selected during installation and how to prevent installation on the memory card (except by hard coding the paths in the PKG file)?

for AUTO start your application need not be in "c:\sys\bin"

it is only the resource file which needs to be there... so the application can be on any drive and only the resouce for auto start should be in c: drive (see STARTUP LIST MANAGEMENT API)

The "S60 Startup List Management API Specification" in the SDK help is exactly what mislead me in this case. The link that Savaj posted is much more clear about this.
