invoking realplayer to play video

Hi !

Can any body guide me in invoking the realplayer to play a video file which is located on a server on web ?
something like video streaming ? i dont want to create my player now i just want to play the video in the reaplayer by supplying it an URL

Use CVideoPlayerUtility API. Read the API documentation from the SDK help. Give some time in understanding the API.

I think this class and code will play the video by accessing the device screen and will render the video in the window , but what i want is like for example if i try to open a url such as rts://foo.com/foo.3gp then the browser starts the real player and then the video streaming is handled by realplayer same i want to achieve through the application i want to pass on the URL to real media player and rest it should handle

Is this possible ? because i have seen some application doing this

Then you have to do following things.

1)launch realplayer using its UID. (0x10005A3E)
2)pass URL of your choice during launching realplayer.

Passing the URL directly might be tricky (if at all possible). What you can easily do is download (create) a .ram file and open it with the Document Handler API
