    Hi,

there is tools like UnSIS which allows you to retrieve the contents of a SIS file. Is it possible to encrypt the contents of a SIS file? The SIS file should still be installable (and decrypt during install), but it should not be possible to retrieve the contents of the SIS file without having access to a password or key preferably.

So what I am looking for is a kind of bifurcator for Symbian code. Does that exist?

    BR,

    Rene

AFAIK the installer in Symbian devices is not supporting encrypting thus you could encrypt content that can be decrypted by your appliction, but not the sis file itself

You could encrypt the sis file and then put it as a normal file inside a wrapper sis file, but then of course your wrapper application would still need to decrypt the sis file at some point to install it.

    LOL

Still, one should consider OMA DRM separate delivery, it is the only case where the phone would know/care about an encrypted SIS file.
