is there an option to simulate "no lan cable" senario?

I am looking for an option to simulate "no LAN cable" scenario eventhough LAN cable is connected.

My use case requires me to disconnect the cable while data transer is in progress. Everytime i have to manually plug the cable out to achieve the same. Is there an option to simulate the same by some means?

Last time I looked there was'nt an RJ45 jack on my phone so I lets assume you are talking about interrupting data transfer on a device.

You can switch to offline mode while the application is transferring data.
You can put the device into a faraday cage (which you can buy reasonably cheaply)
