Lock on GSm or UMTS

yoi all know that i can lock on UMTS band or GSM band
or Dual
we can do it using mobile
how can we do it using code?

you can set different modes on from the settings, the API for doing it in non public, thus you would need to contact API partnering for getting access to it.

but we here in Egypt i find it difficult to contact any one to help me in NOKIA Egypt
