stoping orjinal sms tone

we're programming a program called SMS tone changer. Users can define a special SMS tone for their contacts. We have completed greater part and SMS tone can be sucessfully changed for a person by user. But we realised when the program is trying ring the special tone for caller the original SMS tone of the phone is being heard in 0,5 sec duration. Then special (changed) SMS tone is starting. Can we stop or block the original SMS tone of the phone? Thank you for all replies.

Unfortunately, you cannot change the SMS tone of the profile in use with PyS60. I had worked on a similar project using PyS60 earlier and I coped up by switching the profile to silent using xprofile extension, when the application was in use.
