hi, experts.

i just want to ask solution regarding this error.
i tried to install some application but it comes with an error saying that "UNABLE TO INSTALL PROTECTED APPLICATION FROM UNTRUSTED SUPPLIER".
what should i do to solve it?
my software version is: 04.13
do i need to update my phone?
i already check my setting but still errors shows..
please help..

Your application is signed with a less-capable certificate than it would need. You should make sure that the settings of the Application Manager allows to install "All" kind of applications, otherwise you should contact the supplier of the app.

sir, i already check my settings and it set under the SOFTWARE INSTALLATION was set to ALL but still errors comes out..

additionally, theres no camera shutter settings which give the user choice if they want to set it OFF or ON.

I think, Nokia Developers should provide updates to fix this errors..

And what about certificate?? Is it self-signed certificate?? If you use self-signed certificate, make sure that your application uses unprotected UID, i.e. 0xA0000000 - 0xAFFFFFFF. If you use protected UID (0x20000000 - 0x2FFFFFFF) or legacy UID (0x10000000 - 0x1FFFFFFF) with self-signed certificate, you will get this message.

You can try dumpsis, it is bundled with the more recent SDK-s. Then petran/elftran can show you further details when used with the "-dump s" switch.
However I have a feeling that "my application" is an euphemism, and the previous line contains many cryptic expressions.

dumpsis.exe is the reverse of makesis.exe. As the developer of a given application there's little that this tool can do for you, you already know that goes in the SIS file since you have the original PKG script and the source binaries as well.

If you are not a developer then you have no business trying to solve this installation problem. Just report the issue to application's developer and wait for him to provide a working version.

is there any available updates for nokia 5320 (RM409, 04.13) right now?

i try to use nokia software updater but i cant install it on my PC.. has any alternate one?

dumpsis is a tool, not a spell. It can help you fix some problems with your application but it cannot fix them for you
