Retreiving Audio data

hi im using the example given for implementing the CMdaAudioInputStream.
In the example project ther's a option of recording the surounding noise around device i.e. simple recording.Now I want to monitor that audio data which is being recorded for the various parameters such as the intensity of noise, its pitch etc, if only one parameter can be known then it would also be of great help.So anybody having idea how can we retrieve the recorded data parameters.
The format im using is AMR.

Note that the Symbian C++-specific part is finished when you were getting the audio data. What you need is signal processing, Fourier analysis for example. You can either sit down and implement it or search for the topic on the Internet.
