MIDP 2.0

Hello,

At www.javasoft.com there is a beta of MIDP 2.0 specification published. Current mobile phones support MIDP 1.0.
My question is if Nokia phones can be updated to support MIDP 2.0 or do we have to buy a new phone when MIDP 2.0 comes available ??

Hello Johan,

Nokia hasn't published any plans to update the current MIDP 1.0 phones to MIDP 2.0. It looks like you have to buy a new phone when the MIDP 2.0 phones are out.
