How to Sync mobile phone with Google Sync

Can someone please explain the implementation details to be done at the client side(mobile phone)if one wants to sync PIM details with Google Sync feature assuming mobile phone is supporting OMA Sync ML client.

The OMA SyncML specs you can find from http://www.openmobilealliance.com

If you rely on the existing/built-in Sync support on devices, then you don't need to do anything (presumably the manufacturer has already done that according to OMA specs).
