Speech Recogintion 6310i

I am trying to write a speech recoginition program so that text
messages can be dictated into my phone but am struggling. DOes any
one No how this could be achieved or if it is possible?

Also does anyone know if there is a way of having text mesages read
from the phone, is the relevant speech engine possible?

It's not possible to do speech recognition/speech synthesis on a 6310i using java as there are no APIs for processing audio in and the audio out APIs don't do what you need.
