RM-505 vs. RM-507 N97

I have an N80 World Edition and I have a strong preference towards world edition phones because they tend to receive more updates than their North American counterparts (the N95 is a good example of this). I see that there is an RM-505 (Global Edition) and an RM-507 (North Americas) and there seems to be little difference outside the WCDMA ranges: the machine and product IDs are even the same (see http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...fication_codes).

Are there any other differences between the Global and North America editions? I am on the fence as to whether or not I should break with tradition and order the Americas version. Also, would the RM-505 be available to Americas or is that Europe only? If Europe exclusive, that would be quite a misnomer...
