    How would you read this:

    http://blog.symbian.org/2009/05/28/f...msung-i8910hd/

The i8910HD is packed with a host of powerful options: Qt, Python, Ruby and the previously mentioned standard S60 widgets. All these run out-of-the box without change on the i8910HD.
    Wondering,

    Hi,

That line has become many peoples' favourite line

However, I still ponder over what they mean out of the box without change? followed by but if you want to go deeper, you can.

I tend to think that - a firmware or runtime update is possible. Can't really figure out the versions?

Ah, Ruby is too immature to be included

    Doesn't look like it:

    http://blog.symbian.org/2009/05/28/f...msung-i8910hd/

Lower in the comments you will see that it "only supports" the same distribution that runs on Nokia devices.

    Oh,

Too bad. Well at least they do support installing and running PyS60!

    Still hopeful,

    More clarifications...

"Re Qt, Ruby, Python – we have mispoken – what we mean to say is that all are supported, so any of these runtime versions that are working on S60 from other vendors (cough) should run fine on i8910 HD. But you will need to install. Sorry for the confusion."
