E71 sip connection problem

I have tried to register to 2 different SIP proxies with E71.
Unfortunately I got the same result from both.
When I capture network traces in front of my SIP proxy, I see the incoming REGISTER message from E71.
It does not include any digest authentication information.
My SIP proxy sends a "401 unauthorized" message with digest information.
I believe this packet reaches my SIP client , because I tested with 3 different internet access and each attempt produced same result.
E71 does not respond to this 401 message with a REGISTER message which includes digest info.

Why is that ?
Does E71 support digest auth ?

Are you trying to develop your own sip client or using some 3rd party/pre existing sip clients?

well I am just trying to use the internal sip client.
anyway, I found the cause of the problem.
internal sip client is looking for the exact same realm name in the digest 401 message.
I configured it and it is working fine now.


btw, is there any possibility of sip video call for E71 ?
maybe 3rd party app ?

i personally havent tried a sip video call,but the end user discussion forum could be a good place to see if someone is aware of one in http://europe.nokia.com/support or http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/discussions/
