How to start to do a mobile application

Hai friends,
I'm a new bee... This is the first time, I'm in mobile application development.

I'm in a need to develop an application, which will encrypt the message before sending it.
But I don't know where to start and how to start.
So please guide me, how can I start to develop an mobile application.
I know c++ and java.
Which language is best to develop the mobile application c++ or java?
