We have created an application based on J2MEusing MIDP 1.0 for Nokia 6610. We have stored some contacts in the device 6610 and want to send it to SMS Gateway using SMS over GPRS. How do we do as it doesn't support SMS API or Java Messaging APIs.

You could send an SMS over GPRS using SMS AT-commands or
PC Connectivity SDK, but that would require a PC or some other
terminal equipment addition to the phone.
Best you get an answer to this type of question from the Java experts in Java discussion board, so this question will be forwarded there.

There is no support for developing SMS applications in 6610. Only two phones support development of Java based SMS applications currently:

    3410 - Nokia SMS API
    3650 - WMA
