    Hi,
I have a content in the Ovi store and I want to update the file to a newer version. The process for changing the file would be to unlock the content, replace the file, lock the content and then file will go to QA. All along the process i mentioned, will the previous file stay in the Ovi store until the updated file passes QA? Or will the previous file be removed from the store while the newer file is pending QA?

    Thanks in advance!

I'd be really happy to hear about this as well. Now I'm too afraid to update to newer version, because I don't know if my current content will become unavailable while the new version is being tested. Also what is the user experience if a new version becomes available? Is there automatic notification when user logs in to Ovi Store next time? There are no version numbers visible...

    Hello,

If your content has already been published and you are updating with a newer version, the content will remain in Ovi Store until QA has passed your new content and published to the store. At this time, there are no notifications sent to the user regarding an update in version of the content.

    Best Regards,
    OviCurtis

    Hi group,
just want to revive the old topic. recently there was an email from Ovi saying that our content supports:

    - 6790 Surge
    - 6790 Slide
    - 6760 Slide

my question is, if i press Unlock on my content in Ovi Publishing and add these new devices to the supported list, does this mean our content will be unpublished from Ovi and will have to wait for QA?

    thanks in advance!

    Hi,

One of my application was already on the OVI store and then i receive email from OVI saying i can add new devices for this content.

I unlock the file and add new devices in distribution. After saving the changes i lock the file again and submitted to QA. As i didnt change the content files and only changed the distribution, my content was still live on the store and seperatly receive QA passed status for newly submitted devices.

Hope you get through QA for 6760, 6790. I got the message back that these devices weren't supported by Ovi.

The download count is carried forward to the next version, however you don't get a break down in the stats for downloads on a per version basis.
