Record While Mute

hi..how can i record the voice while i have muted the uplink, i.e if on the time of active call,i mute the microphone and then i try to record my voice.I have tried all the media recording API's but all the API's only record the downlink voice and not the uplink.I have also tried APS but failed in that too.
So just to be brief, how can i record voice while the microphone is muted.

I suppose that was possible before 3rd FP2, after that the mic muting also mutes all recording..

@yucca, i tried it on 5th edition using CMdaAudioInputStream & CMdaAudioOutputStream and succeeded in recording while i mute the microphone from my side and then recorded my voice.

hi i have recorded a file during an active call with mute status active in 5th edition.Now i can also play this file on uplink using APS but with unmute status.Now i want to play it on uplink with mute status active, any body having idea how to do it in 5th edition, i.e mute only the microphone while the uplink is not muted.
I have done the same thing in 3rd edition successfully.

is it possible to record a file during an active call with mute status active in s60 3rd FP1 or FP2. i Have tried it on 5th edition and it is possible in that, but when i mute the call in 3rd edition , nothing gets recorded.So is there any way to record in mute condition

is there any difference between recording audio with and without active gsm downlink by using APS?

Is there any parameters needed to set, in order to capture the audio from gsm downlink?

But I can get any audio from gsm downlonk. :<


PS:

should I set "KUidMdaTelephonySoundDevice" to use telephone as hwdevice? IF yes, how to do it with APS?

How to record downlink only on 3rd FP2 ?
I don't know how to do that after FP2 because PhoneClientExtention plug-in is no longer available.
