the Virtual keyboard is really tighly tied to the FEP, thus you need to use FEP avare text editors, and they will use the keyboard just fine.

Any input box that is using the normal input methods are usually FEP aware text editors. Basically they load the FEP (Front End Processor), which will then work in the between the inpout device and the editor, so when user presses '2', the inout will be a/b/c etc..

I think we understand this evil (this must be due to my English google translation) makes the Nokia 5800 do not have a keyboard.
What I try to do is to display the virtual keyboard that allows me to enter text or numbers.

Someone with a sample program for 5800 with entering numbers or text?

Click on your editor, it will show you a keypad to enter text/number.

Wait for few days. Qt for S60 "Tower" release has support to open and close the virtual keyboard.

You will get it from here in few days.
