Communication issues with UMTS-UMTS connection only

Hi all

I have an application that is used to connect to a DVR in order to see the images recorded by the DVR.
The DVR can be connected to the net by using a wired LAN or by using a modem UMTS, whereas the application can be run on a PC or on a Symbian OS based mobile phone(different compilation needed, for sure).
When I connect to the DVR from PC everything works fine both with the DVR connected wired LAN or modem UMTS. When I connect by using the Symbian OS version no problem is experienced if the DVR is connected through wired LAN, but when I used the UMTS modem connection sometimes it works fine, sometimes no: connection is pulled up but no images can be seen.

Any suggestion?

you should propably debug a bit to see what heppens with the connection. Also see that your firewall is not preventing the connection from the mobile from any of the operators you are testing the app with.

Mmmm. I do not think firewall is related to the issue since I do connect many times whereas many others I cannot (from the same phone, just few minutes later, from the same location...).
I thought about something like timeout or something similar...
