Hi,
2 or 3 years ago ( can't remember ) a team of colleagues create an application on Visual Studio 6.0 for Nokia 6600 ( Symbian os 7.0s ).
The application has done its work really good.
It's a quite simple application: it just send strings to a webserver and download an image.
In addition it take photo and send them to a webservice installed.
Now the customer wants to port it to a Nokia E51 ( Symbian os 9.2 ).
So he try to install the SIS on Nokia E51 and got an error ( In Italian "applicazione non supportata", in english I think it should sounds like - application not supported ).
I have been asked to take a look if it's possible, so i download the new SDK and I discover that Visual Studio 6.0 is not supported anymore, neither Carbide.vs and I have to download and install Carbide.C++ 2.0
Now the question is:
Is possible to compile a source code done for Symbian os 7.0s with Carbide.C++ 2.0 or is it quite impossible ?
Do anyone have any experience about it ?
Sorry for the bad english and thanks in advance.
