    hi,

I am just staring to learn developing for WRT platform, and I really like it, it seems to be an easier development platform compare to others. Are there any hints for WRT to support HTML 5 which I think will really lead into more developers interest to develop for WRT. The WebOS(palm) I believe is something close to WRT with HTML 5 support. What I really like about HTML 5 is the storage features.

Hope the Nokia will work on it.

    thanks,

This is a great pity... with local storage available to WRT development it opens the door to allowing developers create all sorts of great apps/games. Without local storage we are limited to create RSS readers or similar, where we cant even save what RSS feeds to show unless we use server-side storage.

I think WRT needs local storage in order to succeed.

I´m totally agree with RoryH, local storage is a feature needed in the WRT platform.

Just to be fair, WRT supports the name value pair approach to "storage", but not local database. You can store json formatted strings to enabled structured data. This is one of the W3C recommended ways for storage in the widget specification.

I dont think there are any specific HTML 5 features or apis in the current versions of WRT.
