Nokia 5800 fire-key trouble (center key)

Greetings!

I'm working on a prototype which, among other features, is required to shoot photos using a camera phone. My application works great on a N95-phone, but I seem to have some trouble getting it to work the way I want on the 5800-phone. Specifically I have some trouble getting fire-key to fire on the 5800. AFAIK the center key on the on screen keyboard on the 5800 is supposed to map to the fire-key on phones which have keys, but I can't get it do anything...

I have made an application which prints the keyCode as well as the name of the key when pressed, and all the buttons on the on screen keyboard fires something EXCEPT for the center key. (It does however fire something in the manner of tactile feedback by shaking when pressed).

Am I missing something here? Hope somebody can shed some light on my problem!

There's no rule that says the dpad centre should map to the "fire" game action.

Are you using a Canvas? Is it in full-screen mode?

You may need to add:

Nokia-MIDlet-S60-Selection-Key-Compatibility: true

to your JAD.
