How to get imported Qt project to run makesis?

If I create a new Qt project from Carbide and build it for Phone Release (GCCE), sis and sisx files are created.

If I import q Qt project and build it, the makesis step doesn't happen. (There are no errors with the build.)

How can I set up a project imported from Qt to build sis and sisx files?

Yes, _gcce_urel.pkg file is the right file to generate SIS file, because you are compiling your project using GCCE compiler And urel is stand for release (udeb is for debug)

If you have RVCT compiler (ARMV5 or ARMV6) then you have to use _armv5_urel.pkg Or _armv6_urel.pkg (depending on which version of complier you have)

How about some bing what are pkg files and then looking into pkg files of your project(s).

Overall pkg files are used to transfer dll,libs, exe , resources etc. the locations on device where it should be stored etc information is captured in it.

Its very much readable if you open it to read

I understand what a .pkg file is for, and I understand why there are different files for ARM/GCCE and debug/release -- I'm just not clear why there is a myApp.pkg file as well as myApp_gcce_urel.pkg and the rest.

The information about pkg files doesn't refer to this, and it's not clear from looking at the contents of the files themselves.

How was myApp.pkg created? By Carbide or it existed from start in your imported folder?

Got it: myApp.pkg is created by Carbide and the other .pkg files are generated by qmake.
