Sound Mixer Example von 5800 XM does nothing

Hello,
I tried this [1] example on my nokai 5800 XM. I see red blocks moving around but never hear a sound. There is menü options to alter volume and start and stop the mixer. I played around with them but neither got sound or any feedback wether the mixer is now running or what the current volume is now.

I solved it partialy myself: The device profile was set to silence. I took me some time to figure out because the music player was still playing music.

However, I hear some kind of music now with some sounds that could be related to the colision of the moving red squares but there is about a second or so delay so it is hard to connect the colision event with the sound.

This comes to my next question: Is there a way to play low latency sounds? I mean, when I shot a cannon, I don't want to wait for a second toll I hear the boom.
