[moved] Deguging with dll

I have a dll and the test application , i want to test the application on device rather want to debug it but when i try to debug i get an error saying "The necessary library not found or Application startup failed" I am using carbid 2.0 , I am installing the dll to device using sis file and then trying to debug am i doing correct ?

According to the error message, it may happen that you are just trying to install the .dll. And the application should be also present of course.

I get following message exactly "Load failed - TRKProtocolPlugin : Failed to launch the application (Installing the application may have failed or dependant library might be missing)

This time i also tried putting the dll in package also my dll relies on openc i have already installed glib.sis and pips.sis

any clue ?

See the links in my signature, the ODD one shows DLL project debugging.

The rules/steps are simple: build your project, make a SIS, install it on device. Run it (at least to the point of seeing your application panic).

If all the above succed you can attempt to debug.
If any of the above fail then Carbide.c++ and TRK cannot help you, you have other things to solve before attempting ODD.
