Keeping the RecordStore when MIDlets are removed/re-installed ?

Hi,
I would like to ask if the RecordStore of a MIDlet suite is kept intact when the MIDlet Suite is either removed OR re-installed (same vesion or a newer version).

Hello,

As far as I know, for Nokia series 40 phones:

The RMS associated with an application is removed when the application is deleted.

If the application package is to be replaced by a newer version, the existing version's RMS data will be retained for use with the new version.

If the application package is to be replaced by an older version, a clean RMS area will be used.

Hello!

We have the same problem in Russia and decide to make java class which will be call HTTP server to save and restore data from/to RMS. Works will be complete about 2 weeks later. See my site http://henson.newmail.ru J2ME section for news and detail information.
