Gatway Down?

Is the MWS gateway down? I had thought that it might be something on my end since I was traveling and quickly running through several cells; but having gotten home and moved to another mobile, I'm still having issues connecting?

Anyone else having an issue connecting (anyone in the US, just in case this might be a regional ISP issue)?

Here in Bangkok all is well, so at least it is not global pandemic indeed. Anyway, I think you should contact your local operator on issues like this really..

Thanks for the confirmation SymbianYucca. Normally speaking, I don't have operator issues (and usually switching betweeen Wi-Fi and cellular use pretty often), so this will be something to look into if it is indeed an issue on my end. I guess that's what I get for switching device and having a heavy-use week

Not a service issue; and not an issue with getting online with my device (I'm browsing, talking via Ovi Chat, etc. just fine). It just seems that my device isn't able to connect to the MWS server.

I've had a lot of problems today. The mymobilesite.net site appears to show that I'm online - but the handset is unable to connect.

I suspect a lingering session at the far end. I can't seem to flush it! I connected briefly this morning but then switching from WIFI to CELL killed it. Back in WIFI land and I still can't connect.

BTW - this is my first post in the Nokia MWS forum. I think this is a major development in mobile functionality. Probably the most exciting thing I've come across on the web in the last couple of years.

i'm back offline again as well. Doesn't even matter how i've tried to connect. I'll just let it go for a bit and see what happens, it would be a sad thing to lose this service.

BTW, this actually does not sound like developemnt related problem, and as this DiBo concentrates on development related issues, you might find more end-user problems related Dibo better suited for your query. Here's link for one: http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/

Apologies to our users

We have struggled this year with our SSL certificate renewal even more than before and unfortunately it has caused our users some trouble. New certificates are anyhow installed now. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and promise to try prevent this happening again next year.

Well of course this will have a major impact as this has happened on other sites.

The certificate issue cropping up again, I don't know. Doesn't seem like it would be the issue as I login just fine to the normal mymobilesite.net from my mobile.

To the other poster who commented that this isn't a development issue, I would say that it is. Its an issue related to the MWS only (in my testing over two devices) and not any other wireless functionality. On both devices, connections to the MWS gateway timeout. That wouldn't be a normal issue.

I've done some more testing over the past days and it would seem that this is not a Nokia issue directly, but would definitely be carrier/operator related.

EDIT/ADD: to that end, I would probably recommend that if there are any who are experiencing this issue to look at creating their own gateway or moving to another hosting solution.

No it should not,but you should get extra protection if you router support NAT and/or have firewall and you can share you internet connection
