Hi all, browsing the web i found several Instant Messenger J2ME applications which usually work throu the Jabber protocol. From what i've seen/heard/tested none of these work on Nokia Series 30. Is this true ?
Are the 30 Series unable to use such a app ?

Has anyone seen/made/tested stuff like this yet ?

It would be a pretty nasty thing if the 30 (and or 40/60) series don't support a "killer-app" like this...

    Have you ever tried JabberMixClient?

The Jabber protocol runs on top of TCP. Most old phones only support HTTP connections through Java, so they wouldn't be able to run this app (unless they go through an HTTP proxy for Jabber, I don't know if there is any application like that).

AFAIK JabberMixClient does not use HTTPConnection...
