5100 Radio

Hello I have recently purchased the 5100 and am so far very happy with it. One question however, Is it possible to use the radio feature without plugging in the head phones? I know they act as an aerial however it would be nice to be able to get some signal using loudspeaker without needing the headphones. Is the signal that poor without the headphones plugged in?

hey dave
what I do is I leave the ear piece on, then when I turn the radio on I go to options and I set it to loudspeakers, but I leave the earpiece plugged in, its actually better, I get reception depending my ear piece, so anyways you want the ear piece to be there.
