From a coding perspective, it makes no difference whether you're using wifi or GPRS. The only limiting factors are:

    1. Does your device support datagrams?

    2. Does your network operator provide a gateway that supports UDP?

    3. Is your device correctly configured? (A "WAP" based connection might support only HttpConnections.)

    Graham.
