    Hi,

I want to make a response system for mobiles which will response to the calls when you are busy and play appropriate busy messages.

So is there any way I can capture the event when mobile receives a call and can I play some recorded voice as soon as the call gets connected.

    Thanks,
    Nitin.

We dont have this level of control in J2me on most of the devices available in the market, thou you can do it using Symbian for S60 devices.

    thanks,

Does that mean there is C++ library available for S60 devices to do this, but not Java for the same?

Yes, in Java ME we dont have that level of control on most of the device for native telephony system, but we do have such capabilities in Symbian C++ for S60 devices and thus you can find applications on OVI like advance call managers, spam filters and answering machines all developed in Symbian.

Some of call features are available to J2me devices which support JSR-000253 Mobile Telephony API (currently no Nokia device support it) you can check http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=253
for more details of JSR 253.

    thanks,
    ~Amitabh

hi its almost not possible, but by using jsr 253 we may know a little about phone call but not completely, and above all only few high end devices supports it.
    Thanks and Regards,
