sending an arabic-content SMS

hi all,

i'm trying to send an arabic-content SMS using my application,the SMS is recieved by the recepient but the content is a rabbish data and can't be read like this " U?Ø?U§ ... ",
i tried to convert the body to unicode, UTF-8, from UTF-7 to unicode, and from little endian to big endian but nothing work.

is there is a special away to send an SMS in such languages ? and what i have to do to be recived in the correct format ?

have you actually tried setting the message encoding:

CSmsSettings* sendOptions = CSmsSettings::NewL();
...
// here we modified the character set
sendOptions->SetCharacterSet(TSmsDataCodingScheme::ESmsAlphabetUCS2) ;
