Basic information regarding VPN

Hello friends,
I would like to know basic information about VPN.
1) VPN API's are public or private?
2) If private, How to get it?
3) Is there any way to make application using public API's other that IPSec?
4) Is there any demo kind of application is present from Symbian?

Guys, kindly give me information of above questions. I want to make application using VPN.

I would assume that they are non-public, anyway, if they are included in the Symbian codes, best way to get access to them would be to contact Symbian foundation, and become a partner.

Could you please tell us Where will I get code examples for VPN access point configuration? I searched a lot but I did not get proper help.
Please tell me if you know something about this.
