    Good morning.

I have successfully implemented the example here which snaps a picture and saves it to a buffer.

On the E52 (FP2) it takes a picture of about 200kB which is equivalent to a 2MP picture. However the phone itself is capable of up to 3MP, and pictures taken using the normal camera application are 3MP pictures (~600kB)

I would like to know how I can change the resolution of the camera with reference to this example?

The file size does not really correspond to the resolution, it is more about the JPG image quality.

    it does.
ok ignoring the file sizes, the images i took using my own implementation of CCamera are 1024x768
The device's own camera application takes 3MP pictures at 2048x1536, and 2MP at 1600x1200.

you could check the CCamera::EnumerateCaptureSizes() to see what resolution can be used. here's one link where it has been used in: http://developer.sonyericsson.com/co.../docs/DOC-3308

Try setting the UI to landscape before you call CCamera::New2L. In most devices the camera sensor is placed in such orientation that full resolution can not be utilized when UI is in portrait.
