Capturing key press or long key press while key lock is on in S60 5th edition

I have been trying to capture long key presses in S60 5th edition while key lock is on with no success. I am using CaptureKey and CaptureLongKey which works fine when the key lock is off and even when the key lock is on in most S60 3rd edition phones.

I have seen application running on S60 5th edition phones which seem do to what I'm trying to do for example Dr Jukkas's Key Lock Clock application.

My question is whether this is done in a completely different way in for instance Key Lock Clock. Should I be looking for something other than CaptureKey and CaptureLongKey?

it should be the same as the implementation in 3rd edition.

It's a little different in 5th edition. As long as key lock is off the behavior is the same as 3rd edition but when I lock the key my application does not receive key press events any more.
