HOW TO CAPTURE AN IMAGE ON PHONE AND PUT INTO A BUFFER.....

SIR,
my name is vinay..im new to j2me implementation...

My problem is " i have to open the camera i.e to on the camera and capture an image from that camera and put it into a buffer in my application for further processing of that image "

so here i couldn't understand how can i write an application...which IDE i should use...which SDK i should use...what books i should study for this....

send me any links or any..any help sir please.....
please help me out im starting from zero...give me the road map for this sir please spare your little time for me.....

There are many code samples in the wiki you could start off here.

There are free IDE's available either use Eclipse or Netbeans.

SDK's you will have to download depending upon your phone model and whether it is Series 40 or S60. Look out here

Books: well you could google around for J2ME books and find tons of them, personally I read "Beginning J2ME" by Jonathan Knudsen & Sing Li

Apart from that there is nothing better than hands on experience so just take a few examples and start programming, you will learn on the go!
Hope that gets you on track with J2ME.
