Phone and PC communication over WLAN

I want to communicate with a FlashLite app running on the phone with Flashplayer running in a browser over WLAN.
Is this possible? The phone and the browser comp would be present at the same location.
If its possible how do I implement this, can i do it with xmlsocket?

If your application ran inside the Flash Player and not within the browser then its perfectly possible.
if the SWF within the browser communicates it becomes a security threat.

I've heard of some sockets that can reside within the browser like Orbited? Can I use that for this purpose?
