Hardware/UI platform dependency

Hello,
I m wondering what UID should i include in my pkg file.
I m planning to certified sign my application in Nokia for AllFiles capabilities.

There is information that:

The application must define the manufacturer ID ([1]) in the PKG

Nokia's id is: Nokia TManufacturer::EManufacturer_Nokia 0x00000002

I have to include UID of platforms on which application will be installed.
Should my pkg looks like that:

...
;Supports Nokia
[0x00000002], 0, 0, 0, {"NokiaID"}

;Supports S60 release 3.0
[0x101F7961], 0, 0, 0, {"Series60ProductID"}

;Supports S60 release 5.0
[0x1028315F], 0, 0, 0, {"Series60ProductID"}

...

When i changed Nokia ID to SonyEricsson ID i have installed application on my Nokia device without any problem.

Tnx for fast replay,

I have seen it and tried it.
It just informs that it s not for this manufacturer but if you press yes it will install.
Is that enough?

I have set IF manufacturer = 3 (Panasonic)
and on Nokia got information (from the file) Yes/No
I pressed Yes and installation continues. (maybe this happens because i ve got developer certificate and Nokia certified application will not allow to install it by pressing YES, or it s just ok?)
If i just set FILETEXT and press continue button installation successfully complete (of course nothing is installed so i ve got empty application installed on the device what doesn t seem to be professional)

Is that enough for certified signing ?

Since all your file copying is done only if manufacturer == 2 (Nokia) the installation may in fact "succeed" for the wrong manufacturer but without the files being actually deployed to the device.

Optimally the installation would indeed fail but if that cannot be achieved you have to settle for the next best thing and that is ensure that your applications cannot be used in devices for which you do not have the capability usage approved. Or get approvals from all manufacturers,
