We have been developing a couple of very mild model applications (non-erotic, no nude), and have been trying to submit the first of them to the store. It is a calendar utility application, which presents a new bikini model each month.
The application was rejected twice. Upon the first submitting, we received notification that The content item contains modeling images of females wearing skimpy clothing (bikinis, swimming suits, tight dresses, t-shirts, shorts, etc.) and can’t be published in sensitive countries. Please modify the country distribution to exclude the following countries: Bangladesh, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia (in Asia-Pacific)….
Accordingly we have modified the territories and resubmitted. Then we received a rejection as Content items which contain model(s) posing in a sexually suggestive manner or excessive cleavage are not permitted because all content items in Ovi Store need to be suitable for minors.
So while we can control territory selection and hence made appropriate modifications to it, our main concern relates to the second comment- Suitability for minor. We did however came across sexually suggestive content in the store (apps, wallpapers, videos), and accordingly we are unable to differ why our application got rejected for posing in suggestive manner, while these examples were allowed:
application http://store.ovi.com/content/23771?clickSource=search ,
wallpaper http://store.ovi.com/content/77A321A...ated%2Bcontent, wallpaper http://store.ovi.com/content/3789?clickSource=search , wallpaper http://store.ovi.com/content/5360?clickSource=search
photo + video (where by the way the application leads to an actual porn site) http://store.ovi.com/content/4093?clickSource=search.
For that reason, before we proceed in development of model applications, could you please better illustrate which types of model/sexy content will likely be forbidden?
