Retriving Mulitiple Cell ids

I need to retrieve multiple cell id using mobile GSM.I am able to get single cell id.
Is there any way to get multiple cell id or do we need to register for partnership API with nokia?
Can Anyone help me on this please?

first thing to ask what do you mean by multiple cell ids . Your device from which you get an cellid always have a single one.

If you want the previous cellid you can make a logger like you can write them into a file.

I suspect that the original posters want to find other cells (basestations) nearby (with weaker signals so that the phone is not connected to them). As far as I know, no published APIs exist for such (regardless of whether the other cells are for the same network or other operators'networks which' SIM card is not in the phone).

As mentioned above there are no public api's to achieve the same. Please register for technical support and know if any partnership API is available.

Actually my requirement is to retrive the multiple cell id's of the base station near by,before cell phone locks to the stronger base station.
The requirement is to get the multiple cell id's to locate the exact position of the mobile phone using gsm technology.

Post number 6 in this thread (just before this post I'm quoting) already says as things are: No public/published API exists. Register for tech support to see if an non-public API is available on some suitable terms (doubtful, though).
