Why registering for S60 3rd Edition FP2 SDK v1.1?

Hello,
I was wondering why it is necessary to register for the S60 3rd Edition FP2 SDK v1.1 after 29 days. What is the catch behind it?

The message appears when I run the emulator and blocks there. Without registering I can still make a release for the device ,though. Only emulation is blocked. After registering it, the emulator works again.

you should register it, it is also free, so no real need not to register it anyway.

Through the registration mechanism Forum Nokia is counting the number of active developers, so that we know how many they are and which SDKs they use. It's just something that we like to know about our developer community, in order to be able to better support it.
